History of the Las Vegas Raiders logo:

In 1960 the first logo design for the Raiders was a pirate that was seen to be wearing a football helmet and had an eye patch that was on a gold football background. There were two white swords that were in a black trim with gold handles criss cross behind the football.

In 1963 the Raiders decided to change up the logo design. The black and gold colour system was dropped and was replaced but a silkier sliver and black look and was made even better by adding the words The Oakland Raiders on the top of the logo and crossed swords behind it.

The design of the logo has continued to be a shield that has the word Raiders at the top of the symbol, it had two crossed swords with the handle situated up and the cutting edge down and there was a covered head of a Raider that was seen wearing a football helmet and has a black eye patch that was covering his right eye.

The design for the new Las Vegas Raiders is still basically the same however they added a black outline to the shield that had the word Raiders at the top of the design with two crossed swords that had the handles up and the cutting edge facing down. There is a head of a Raider wearing a football helmet and had a black eye patch covering his right eye.
